Press Down U-Step Neuro Walking Stabilizer Features
The features of the Press Down U-Step Neuro Walking Stabilizer include:
-
Press Down Brake Handles: The press down brake handles are ideal for those who cannot squeeze a hand brake. To go, lightly press down on the soft, rubberized brake handle. To stop, release the brake handle.
-
Middle Bar Braking: With the Press Down model, you can also use the Flip break bar. To release the brakes for walking, simply flip it backwards and press down. Flipping the bar forward will engage the brakes.
-
Rolling Resistance Control: What sets apart the Neuro from other rolling walkers is your ability to adjust its rolling speed. To control the rolling resistance, simply loosen the set screw and rotate the adjustment lever to the desired amount and re-tighten the set screw.
-
Spring-Loaded Front Wheel: You can glide easily over uneven surfaces with the patented spring-loaded caster system. This is especially helpful for small obstacles, such as cracks in the sidewalk and indoor molding strips.
-
Easily Transportable: Traveling with the Neuro is a breeze! To fold and put it in a car, simply lift the release lever by the seat and pull up on the seat support to fold. There’s no bending down to pick it up!
-
Optional Laser & Sound Cueing Module: The optional laser & sound cueing module is primarily used by those who suffer from Parkinson’s freezing. However, it’s also for anyone with an irregular gait pattern, and can help normalize walking and increase stride. To use the module, press the red button to project a red laser line on the floor that will guide your steps. The sound feature can also create a beat pattern for your walking speed.
