Product Description
System One gets even smarter with advanced intelligence for optimum care and easier patient management. Industry-leading enhancements and innovations help to improve both the patient and provider/clinician experience.
Philips Respironics has long offered smarter tools that help sleep professionals provide better care and achieve better results. Now, based on more than a year of customer use and input, we’re delivering an even higher level of sophistication in an intelligent therapy device that operates exactly the way you’ve told us it should.
Through advancements in software algorithms and the marriage of proven patient-centric technologies, System One thinks for itself, carefully monitoring patients and recognizing when therapy needs are changing. It then arms providers with the intelligent data needed to make informed patient-care decisions.
Bi-Flex Pressure Relief Technology
Bi-Flex pressure relief technology offers pressure relief at inhalation and exhalation to make BiPAP therapy more like natural breathing. By tracking each breath, Bi-Flex pressure relief technology delivers pressure relief at three critical points in the breathing cycle:
- The transition from exhalation to inhalation
- The transition from inhalation to exhalation
- During exhalation.
Resistance Control
System One Resistance Control achieves complete system comfort by enabling the device and mask to work optimally together. Through simple settings, the technology instructs the device to compensate for variable resistance characteristics related to different masks. The result is synchronous pressure delivery and the assurance patients can enjoy the full benefits of our Flex comfort technologies no matter which Philips Respironics mask is used.
Reduced sound levels
We’ve enhanced System One to make it one of the quietest devices on the market when it matters most: when patients are breathing on it. But don’t take our word for it: testing by an independent, third-party laboratory shows that the System One REMstar Auto is, on average, 25% quieter than the ResMed S9 AutoSet during simulated breathing conditions.
Advanced Event Detection
We've built in more device intelligence so that you can make the most informed decisions possible. Our new sleep system addresses advanced sleep assessment parameters including AHI, large leak, flow limitation and RERAs that help you determine appropriate clinical management of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
But the real advancement is its ability to point out when the patient is experiencing symptoms beyond classic OSA. With intelligent technology that can identify clear airway apneas and periodic breathing, the system immediately indicates the potential need for specialized therapy. With our new system, all events can now be verified by looking at detailed patient flow waveform data captured by the device.
